Message from the East

Brethren;

Hope this finds you all well and enjoying our first real taste of winter.

It seems like the day before yesterday that we were preparing for our Trafalgar Lodge Installation and Investiture ceremonies and here we are reading the February Summons. The past several weeks have been very busy Masonically with several Installations, visits, Lodges of Instruction, Masonic Funerals and preparing for the degree work for the next 4 months.

Sitting once again in the East and participating in the January Degree work was, as my grandchildren would say, "COOL". Thank you all for affording me the Privilege. My congratulations to Bro. Brian Rand on being Raised as Trafalgar Lodges’ newest Master Mason. Your preparedness and work was exemplary. It would be my hope that you will continue your Masonic journey and that we will see you working your way through the Chairs to the East in due course.

I would like to use a little of my editorial space here to remind you of five upcoming dates and have you mark your calendars if you would:

On Wednesday February 8th  Trafalgar Lodge is the Accompanying lodge to our D.D.G.M’s Official Visit to The Barton Lodge # 6 in Hamilton. Please try and set that date aside and attend with W. Bro. Roy Oldfield who will be attending in my stead. We need be well attended as the Accompanying Lodge.

On Thursday February 9th Trafalgar Lodge will be conducting a Second degree for Bro. Adeel Zafar

On March 8th we will be conducting a Second Degree for Bro. Michael Sacco

On April 12th I am planning a Past Masters Night at which time the Past Masters will be conducting a Third Degree and Raising Bro. Paul Freeman and finally

On Thursday May 10th Battlefield will make their Annual Fraternal Visit and will be conducting a First Degree under the direction of W. Bro. Graham Tait, always a fun evening.

Whilst I will be away until April 3rd I will be keeping in contact with W. Bro. Roy Oldfield, who has kindly consented to sit in the East in my stead, and with W. Bro. Wayne Smith. To the Officers and members please give W. Bro. Oldfield your total support.

To all our Brethren who find themselves in sick or distressed circumstance please communicate with Bro. Daren Dell, our Senior Warden, at rdell@cogeco.ca or (905) 582-7841 that we might be aware of your circumstance and be of some assistance if we can.

May the Great A.O.T. U be with you…Kind personal Regards and Fraternally

W. Bro. Bob Dunne
